Barn utan permanent uppehållstillstånd diskrimineras i medborgarskapsfrågan

MIGÖ (Swedish Migration Court of Appeal) has sparked controversy by stating that a child's lack of a permanent resident permit is the determining factor in deciding whether the child should obtain Swedish citizenship as a secondary recipient when a parent becomes a citizen. Children's rights organisations have accused MIGÖ of discrimination, and have called on the Swedish government to review its citizenship laws to prevent children from being discriminated against.
